Type:—In monte Libano (Aucher 1753), in Syria (Pinard 1846) (E!, G!).

Phenology: ―Flowering between April and May.

Distribution and ecology: ―West Syria, Palaestine, Lebanon, Turkey (South Anatolia) East Mediterranean element. Rocky places, garigue, macchie. 20 m elevation.

Conservation status: ―EN [Criteria B2ab(i,ii,iv)] ( IUCN 2017). This taxon is known only from a single locality in Turkey, but it is widespread in other countries. Its habitat is threatened by the expansion of agricultural field activities.

New record in Turkey:— TURKEY. C5 Mersin: Erdemli, Limonlu, Ömerçayı district, macchie, 36 o 34’ 08.81” N / 34 o 14’ 28.03” E, 20 m, 22 June 2015, Akçiçek 5807 & Ö. Güner (GAZI!, Hb. Akçiçek!).
