Type species. Lithocarus longifolii Chandrapatya & Boczek, 2000e: 306 , 309–312.

Diagnosis. Body fusiform; gnathosoma large, abruptly curved and bent down near base; scapular setae (sc) and tubercles near rear shield margin, directed forward; paraxial tibial seta (l’) absent, empodium divided; coxae I and coxae II each with 3 setae; opisthosoma with 3 ridges.

This genus is monotypic ( Amrine et al. 2003).
