Type species. Phyllocoptes carpini Nalepa, 1887:127 .
Diagnosis. Body fusiform; scapular setae (sc) and tubercles ahead of rear shield margin, anterior lobe present; coxae I and coxae II each with 3 setae; empodium entire.
This genus consists of 165 species ( Amrine et al. 2003). Ten of these have been recorded from Southeast
Asia.
