Description:— Ryvarden & Johansen (1980), Leal & Gugliotta (2008).
Distribution:— Pantropical ( Ryvarden & Johansen 1980). Known from several Brazilian States ( Gugliotta et al. 2013). This is the first record from Amapá and Mato Grosso States.
Ecology:— Parasitic on deciduous trees ( Ryvarden & Johansen 1980), but only one specimen was collect from living host ( URM 83023). The other specimens were collected on dead hardwoods .

Taxonomic remarks:— Rigidoporus microporus is characterized by the sessile basidiomata, orange-reddishbrown pileus surface, lack of cystidia, and subglobose basidiospores, 3.5–4.5(–5) × 3.5–4 µm.
