Distribution. Captured in montane forests between 1077 and 1270 mm in elevation during July and August in La Vega and Santiago provinces.

Remarks. Ommatius bastardoanus is readily recognized by the unique terminalia, especially the somewhat truncate epandrium that bears a short, narrow ventroapical notch. Additionally, the strongly produced sternite 8 with a wide W-shaped apical margin and pyriform spermatheca distinguishes the female ( Scarbrough & Perez-Gelabert, 2003). The type series were found in July. Here we extend its distribution to include Pedernales province and the month of August.
