Notes:

For most of the last two decades Camponotus atricolor  has been considered as a junior synonym of Camponotus piceus  . Seifert (1996) noted Camponotus atricolor  as separate species, while Radchenko (1997b) considerd it as junior synonym of Camponotus piceus  . Mark√≥ et al. (2006) revived this name from synonymy, but stressed that confirmation of the status of this species needs further investigation.
