Fidicinoides distanti Sanborn 2007a: 26 View in CoL View Cited Treatment .
Type locality. Macas , Ecuador.
Remarks. The species was transferred to Fidicinoides based on the structure of the cruciform elevation and the relationship between the posterior mesonotum and metanotum ( Sanborn 2007a). However, the three-part tarsi along with a timbal cover with the rounded apex and approximate parallel sides as it extends anteriorly fits the expanded description of Guyalna provided here ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 ). As a result, the species is hereby transferred to Guyalna to become Guyalna distanti ( Goding, 1925) n. comb. Body length 21–24 mm, fore wing length 34–39 mm.
Distribution. The species has been reported previously from Ecuador, Brazil and Venezuela ( Metcalf 1963; Sanborn 2013).
