Guyalna panamensis ( Davis, 1939) View in CoL n. comb.
( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 )
Fidicina panamensis Davis 1939: 288 View in CoL .
Dorisiana panamensis Wolda 1977: 244 View in CoL .
Type locality. Tabernilla , Canal Zone, Panama.
Remarks. The species was last transferred to Dorisiana without comment by Wolda (1977). However, Guyalna did not exist at the time and the timbal cover fits the expanded description of Guyalna provided here with the rounded apex and approximate parallel sides as it extends anteriorly ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 ). As a result, the species is hereby transferred to Guyalna to become Guyalna panamensis ( Davis, 1939) n. comb. Body length 22–23 mm, fore wing length 32–34 mm.
Distribution. The species has been reported only from Panama ( Metcalf 1963; Sanborn 2013).
