Type locality. Búzios, Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
Remarks. The species is black and is similar in appearance but larger than G. c u t a, G. nadae and G. platyrhina . It possesses a timbal cover that expands over the lateral timbal cavity with the rounded apex ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 ). Body length 16–22 mm, fore wing length 22.5–29 mm ( Boulard 1999 and specimens in the AFSC).
Distribution. The species has been reported previously from Brazil and French Guiana ( Boulard 1999; Sanborn 2011a).
