Taiwanomyrme Tsuneki, 1993 (as subgenus of Smicromyrme Thomson, 1870 ). SPJHA 41: 44. Male, female.
Gender. Masculine (Article 30.2.4 of the Code).
Type species. Smicromyrme taiwanus Tsuneki, 1993 (male), by original designation (misspelled as taiwana) (junior subjective synonym of Mutilla friekae Zavattari, 1913 (male), according to Tu et al., 2015: 589).
Taxonomic history. Raised to generic status by Lelej, 1996: 6. Valid generic name.
Sex association. The female of the type species has not been recognized; the female of another species was associated and identified (as Smicromyrme basirufus Chen, 1957: 185 , one pair collected in copula) by Lelej, 1996: 6.
Distribution. Oriental, Palaearctic.
