LITERATURE. — Thonnérieux et al. (1989); Dowsett (1993); Balanca & de Visscher (1997); Balanca et al. (2007); Sinclair & Ryan (2010); Dowsett et al. (2013); Borrow & Demey (2014).
FIELD DATA. — WABD.
STATUS. — Palaearctic migrant.
REMARK. — This taxon is here considered as a complex including S. cantillans , S. iberica Svensson, 2013 and S. subalpina Temminck, 1820 ( Zuccon et al. 2020). The status of the three taxa in Burkina Faso needs revision. A recent revision does not find any S. subalpina records for the country ( Piot & Blanc 2017).
