LITERATURE. — Thonnérieux et al. (1989); Dowsett (1993); Borrow & Demey (2001, 2014); Sinclair & Ryan (2010); Dowsett et al. (2013).
FIELD DATA. — GBIF.
STATUS. — Palaearctic vagrant.
REMARK. — Palearctic winter visitor to desert oases and Sahel ( Borrow & Demey 2001), but only one recent observation in the center of Burkina Faso, Bangr-Weoogo Urban Park, Ouagadougou, 26.I.2010 (GBIF). The status of the species in Burkina Faso needs further assessment.
