Cheiracus ornatus ( Farkas 1963)

Type host and locality. Fagus sylvatica L. ( Fagaceae ), Hungary.

Distribution. England (recorded here), Hungary (op. cit.) and Poland (Skoracka et al. 2005). Relation to host. Vagrant on the under surface of the leaves, causing no apparent damage. Collection details. England, North Yorkshire, Skipton, Grass Wood (54° 5ʹ 2.76ʺ N, 2° 1ʹ 20.64ʺ W), mid to low numbers on F. sylvatica , collected by T. Prior and R. Lawson, 11.vii.2010.
