Material examined (N=11). 5m, 2f, 07/VIII/2005, St. 0 5 ( MZUESC #727).

Distribution. Western Atlantic – from Massachusetts to North Carolina, Florida, Gulf of Mexico, and Brazil (from Amapá to Rio Grande do Sul) ( Melo 1996).

Ecological notes. On mud and sand bottoms, often in Chaetopterus tubes. It occurs in areas influenced by river discharge. From shallow waters to 80 m ( Coelho 1997b)
