Remarks: C. interjectus   HNS is distributed in Central Asia and Afghanistan (Dlussky et al. 1990; Radchenko 1997c) and recorded also from Iraq (Wheeler & Mann 1916) and Dagestan in Russia (Kuznetsov-Ugamsky 1929). It inhabits mainly mountain steppes; nests are built in soil, often under stones.
