TYPE LOCALITY: Argentina, Patagonia, vicinity of the lower part of the Rio Negro .

DISTRIBUTION: Argentina between Jujuy and Santa Cruz Provs.; Aisen Prov. ( Chile); extreme S Bolivia.

STATUS: Common.

SYNONYMS: joannia, kingii, maenas, nigricana, salinia.
