TYPE LOCALITY: Argentina, Neuquén Prov. 2 km S Cerro Quillén at Pampa de Hui Hui (1050 m) .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from near Lago Quillén and Lago Hui Hui in Neuquén Prov. of Argentina, but reports suggest it might also occur in Malleco Prov. of Chile.

STATUS: Locally abundant, but may have very limited distribution.

COMMENTS: Much smaller than A. fuscus .
