Scissor macrocephalus Günther, 1864:331 . Type locality: This specimen was received without any information on its locality, but as all the specimens from the same source were from Suriname, it is probable that this species also comes from that country. Holotype: BMNH 1858.6 .14.1.

Distribution: Unknown.

Remarks: Appeared first in page 279 in a key. The species is known only from the holotype. See Rosen (1972) for further details.
