Geographical distribution: Colombia, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil (Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Distrito Federal, Paraná).
Additional note: The slide of the female does not have information about the collector and date of collection, since that the specimen is from laboratory rearing. The species was renamed because it was misspelled ( Coutinho & Barretto, 1941).
