The illustrated syntypes are stored in the Croatian Natural History Museum, Zagreb, coll. no. 2492-138, 2493-139 (Milan et al. 1974: 96).
Remarks.
Junior homonym of Melanopsis obesa Gassies, 1856. It was considered as a junior synonym of Melanopsis pygmaea Hörnes, 1856 by Wenz (1929: 2814).
