Type species. Epimelitta (?) aureopilis Fisher, 1953 (original designation)

The following key treats all currently known species of Crossomeles , including the two new species described herein.

1. Elytra longer, extending to near posterior margin of abdominal segment I or beyond, narrowly rounded apically ( Figs. 2a , 3a ) ................................................................................................... 2

- Elytra shorter, extending to near base of abdominal segment I, broadly rounded apically ( Figs. 1a , 4a ).................. 3

2. Elytral apices extending to near posterior margin of abdominal segment I; genae about 1/2 as long as lower lobe of eye ( Fig. 5a )..................................................... Crossomeles acutipennis Chemsak & Noguera, 1993

- Elytra extending beyond posterior margin of abdominal segment I to about middle of segment II; genae about 3/4 as long as lower lobe of eye ( Fig. 5d )................................................. Crossomeles oscarcastilloi sp. nov.

3. Metatibiae with dense brush of suberect setae ( Figs. 4a, d , 5j ); genae about 1/2 as long as lower eye lobe ( Figs. 4c , 5b )......................................................................... Crossomeles aureopilis ( Fisher, 1953)

- Metatibiae with sparse brush of suberect setae ( Figs. 1a, d , 5k ); genae about a 1/4 as long as lower eye lobe ( Figs. 1c , 5c )................................................................................. Crossomeles copei sp. nov.
