Locality Record. 1 male: Mardin: Central county Eskikale village (37°18′22″N 40°46′26″E), 949 m, 04.VIII.2006, leg. E. Yağmur. This is a new country record for Turkey GoogleMaps .
World Distribution. Algeria, Egypt (including Sinai), Iran, Oman Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Afrotropical region ( Cate 2007).
Notes. The genus Craspedostethus Schwarz, 1898 , which has 11 species, is distributed throughout the Afrotropical region, Asia ( Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Sinai peninsula, Turkey, Yemen), Europe ( Armenia and southern European territory of Russia), and North Africa ( Algeria, Egypt) ( Cate 2007; Platia and Gudenzi 2009).
Platia and Gudenzi (2009) reported Craspedostethus linnavuorii Platia and Gudenzi in the Turkish fauna. Craspedostethus dilutus is the most common species among all Craspedostethus .
