Diagnosis. Male. Body robust. Clypeus with apical wholly prominent, its median lobe not well-defined. Metasoma relatively broad and short; second tergite usually with tergal process (spots, depressions, pits, tufts of setae or tubercles). Hypopygium with three conspicuous stalks. Genitalia very wide; paramere simple or bilobate; aedeagus very complex, composed by ventral ramus and dorsal body. Female. Head longer than wide. Eye small, with from 1 to about 25 facets. Mesonotum short, transverse, its posterior margin gently convex at its broad junction with propodeum; anterior margin of propodeum not embracing sides of mesonotum to any appreciable extent. Propodeal disc elongate, more or less parallel-sided. Mesopleuron slightly prominent in dorsal view.

Twenty-nine Dissomphalus species were recognized as belonging to the Thai fauna included, of which five had already been described, namely, D. khaoyaiensis , D. browni , D. chiangmaiensis , D. thaianus , D. wusheanus , and 24 were considered to be new. This is the first record of D. wusheanus from Thailand. Despite D. khaoyaiensis is cited to Thailand, no additional material was found in this work.
