Type locality. Turkey: “ Klein-Asien , Birecik, V.67, leg. Gusenleitner, ♀ Type in Coll. m.“ .

Holotype, ♀: Birecik 18.5.1967 Türkei leg. J. Gusenleitner // ♀ Type Hedychridium Ab. rubrum Lins. Linsenmaier det. 1968 (ex type-collection) // 298 // NML _ENT GBIF _Chr0008241.

Remarks. Linsenmaier labelled a male specimen in the type-collection as allotype, bearing the following labels: Gürün As. Türk. 6.VI.1970 leg. J. Schmidt // ♂ Type Hedychridium Ab. rubrum Lins. Linsenmaier det. 1973. This specimen was collected after the original description and does not belong to type series.
