Hedychridium rhodojanthium marteni ; Linsenmaier 1959a: 45 (key), 50 (diagn., upgraded to species rank), 187 (cat.); 1968: 26 (diagn., ardens group); 1997: 254 (diag., distr.).

Type locality. Spain: “ ♀ Type in meiner Sammlung [=in my collection], Spanien (Prov. Soria, leg. Dr. Marten, Juli 1944)” .

Holotype, ♀: Spanien VII.44 Prov. Soria 1100m leg. Dr. W. Marten Coll. Linsenmaier // Type reticulatum Ab. var. marteni ♀ Linsenmaier // 2 // NML _ENT GBIF _ Chr 0008693 (ex type-collection).

Remarks. Linsenmaier labelled one male specimen as the allotype, labelled: Spanien Teruel Albarracin 2.7.1994 Linsenmaier. This specimen has no type status because collected after the original description and not included in the original type series. Linsenmaier (1959a: 50) elevated the taxon to species rank.
