Type Locality: Australia, Northern Territory, Port Essington.
Vernacular Names: Orange Leaf-nosed Bat.
Distribution: N Western Australia, Northern Territory and NW Queensland ( Australia).
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Sometimes spelled " aurantius ", but " aurantia " is the correct spelling in combination with Rhinonicteris . Reviewed by Armstrong (2002).
