Lectotype (Verdcourt in Hubbard & Milne-Redhead, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Convolvulaceae : 18. 1963): Herb. Hermann 3: 55, No. 76 (BM-000628009) .

Current name: Evolvulus alsinoides (L.) L. View in CoL ( Convolvulaceae ).

Note: Ooststroom (in Meded. Bot. Mus. Herb. Rijks Univ. Utrecht 14: 28. 1934) indicated material in LINN (presumably 393.3) as “type”. However, this was a post-1753 addition to the herbarium and is ineligible as the type. Stearn (in Taxon 21: 649. 1972) gives a detailed appraisal of the typification.
