Diagnosis. B. lineatus can be distinguished from B. jussaral by the characters given in the key above.

Body. Male. 5.1–5.4 mm. Female, 5.5–6.2 to wing tip, 6.0–6.7 to ovipositor tip.

Material examined. ARGENTINA, 2♂, 2♀: Misiones , rt 211 36 km SE jct rt 12, 450m, 26º55’55”S 54º43’4”W, 5-I-2008 , CH Dietrich [2 specimens collected by vacuum, 1 at Hg vapor light] [ INHS] ; 3♂, 10♀: Loreto , Misiones, ARG, AA Ogoblin, dates from 11-XI-1931 to 14-XII-1931 [ USNM] . BRAZIL, 8♂, 5♀: Nova Teutonia , Sta. Catarina, Brazil, 25-V-1945, F. Plaumann ; 1♂, same data except 30-V-1940 [ USNM] .

Distribution. Known from Argentina (Misiones Prov.) and Brazil (Santa Catarina and Minas Gerais [ Nova Coelho & Ribeiro DaSilva, 2001]).
