Type Locality: Cochin-China (Indo-China).
Vernacular Names: Red-shanked Douc Langur.
Distribution: C Vietnam, E Laos, from 20°N to about 14°N, perhaps as far as 13°N.
Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered; IUCN – Endangered as P. n. nemaeus .
Discussion: Does not include nigripes (see Groves, 2001 c).
