Description. FEMALE: (n = 4) Body fusiform, 175 (175–182), 70 (68–70) wide, 60 (60–62) thick; light yellow. Gnathosoma 25 (23–25), projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 3 (2–3), dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 6 (6–7), cheliceral stylets 22 (20–22). Prodorsal shield semicircular, 41 (41–42), 60 (58–60) wide; anterior shield lobe broad; median line complete, admedian and submedian lines merging at basal 2/3, forming two “cells” at each side, admedian and submedian lines with granules. Scapular tubercles and setae (sc) absent. Coxal plates with short lines; anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 5 (5–7), 10 (10–11) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 18 (15–18), 11 (11–13) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 38 (38–45), 21 (21–24) apart. Prosternal apodeme 5 (5–6). Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 35 (33–36), ft' 18 (18–20), seta ft'' 22 (22–23), seta u' 3 (3–4); tarsal empodium (em) 6 (5–6), simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 8 (7–8), rod-like. Leg І 32 (31–33), femur 8 (7–8), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 12 (12–15); genu 4 (3–4), antaxial genual seta (l'') 8 (7–8); tibia 7 (6–7); tarsus 7 (6–7), seta ft' 9 (8–9), seta ft'' 23 (22–23), seta u' 4 (3–4); tarsal empodium (em) 5 (4–5), simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 7 (7–8), rod-like. Opisthosoma: opisthosoma dorsally with 45 (44–46) annuli, with elliptical microtubercles, ventrally with 57 (57–60) annuli, with elliptical microtubercles. Setae c2 12 (12–13) on ventral annulus 9 (9–10), 56 (55–56) apart; setae d 53 (53–56) on ventral annulus 19 (18–19), 40 (40–41) apart; setae e 7 (7–11) on ventral annulus 32 (29–32), 24 (22–24) apart, setae f 19 (19–23) on 6th ventral annulus from rear, 24 (22–24) apart. Setae h1 absent, h2 55 (52–57). Female genitalia 16 (15–16), 24 (24–25) wide, coverflap with 12 longitudinal ridges, setae 3a 6 (6–7), 16 (16–17) apart.

MALE: (n = 2) Body fusiform, 147–153, 47–52 wide; light yellow. Gnathosoma 22–23, projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 2–3, dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 5–6, cheliceral stylets 16–17. Prodorsal shield semicircular, 34–37, 45–48 wide; anterior shield lobe broad. Scapular tubercles and setae (sc) absent. Coxal plates with short lines; anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 5–6, 8–9 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 11–13, 10–11 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 28–32, 17–21 apart. Prosternal apodeme 5–6. Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 28–29, femur 7–8, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 15–16; genu 4–5, antaxial genual seta (l'') 28–32; tibia 7–8, paraxial tibial seta (l') 6–7, located at center from proximal tibial margin; tarsus 5–6, seta ft' 14–16, seta ft'' 20–23, seta u' 3–4; tarsal empodium (em) 5–6, simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 5–6, rod-like. Leg І 25–26, femur 6–7, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 12–13; genu 3–4, antaxial genual seta (l'') 6–7; tibia 6–7; tarsus 5–6, seta ft' 6–8, seta ft'' 20–21, seta u' 3–4; tarsal empodium (em) 4–5, simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 4–5, rod-like. Opisthosoma: opisthosoma dorsally with 42–43 annuli, with elliptical microtubercles, ventrally with 52–53 annuli, with elliptical microtubercles. Setae c2 11–12 on ventral annulus 7–8, 37–45 apart; setae d 38–50 on ventral annulus 17–18, 23–30 apart; setae e 6–13 on ventral annulus 28–29, 15–17 apart, setae f 15–18 on 6th ventral annulus from rear, 20–22 apart. Setae h1 absent, h2 46–48. Male genitalia 13–14 wide, setae 3a 7–8, 8–10 apart.

Type material. Holotype, female (slide number NJAUAcariEriS34, marked Holotype), from Quercus sp. (Fagaceae) , The Huaguoshan Mountain, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, P. R. China, 34°38'54" N, 119°17'18" E, 17 September 2008, coll. Zhen Wang and Zi-Wei Song. Paratypes, 3 females and 2 males (slide number NJAUAcariEriS34), with the same data as holotype.

Additional material examined. 2 females and 1 male (slide number NJAUAcariEriW84), from Cyclobalanopsis myrsinaefolia (Fagaceae) , The Tiantangzhai National Forest Park , Jinzhai County, Anhui Province, P. Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.

Etymology. The specific designation huaguoshanensis is from the name of the location, The Huaguoshan Mountain, where the new species was collected.
