Remarks

It was Nordenstam (1933) who suggested that Monod’s species belonged in ‘ Microarcturus ’. Schultz (1981) suggested the similarity to the type species of Acantharcturus , a view followed by Brandt (1990). She failed to note the setose dactyli clearly illustrated by Monod (1926) which put the species in Mixarcturus . Schultz’s illustrations of the male pleopods are also similar to those of M. digitatus offered here.
