Crustacea

Sherborn gave the date of publication of Crustacea (I) and Crustacea (II) as 1 July 1848 and 3 April 1849, respectively ( Table 4). There is also an advertisement in the Athenaeum on 10 June 1848 (p. 570) stating that this part was “just published”.

No evidence of dating for Crustacea ( II), which could have been used to corroborate the date of 3 April 1849 by Sherborn, could be located in this study .
