Treatment

TCEC reared Pelopidas mathias from Panicum maximum (referred to as Megathyrsus maximus in Cock & Congdon (2012)) ( Poaceae ) at Ranomafana, Madagascar, in March 2013. The caterpillar and pupa are within the range of individual variation already reported from this and other grass food plants in mainland Africa ( Cock & Congdon 2012) and so are not documented further here.
