Ficus chaparensis Berg & Villavicencio (2003: 102) View in CoL
Lectotype (designated here): — BOLIVIA. Cochabamba, Prov. Chapare, 91 km carretera al Chapare , 15 October 1977, E.Meneces & G.Hartshorn 2036 (lectotype: LPB0000757 About LPB !; isolectotypes: BOLV, LPB0000755 About LPB !, LPB0000756 About LPB !, LPB0000758 About LPB !, USZ).
Nomenclatural notes:— The protologue mentions the Meneses & Hartshorn 2036 collection as a type, but does not select which of the three herbaria indicated in the text ( BOLV, LPB and USZ) is the holotype. Berg & Villavicencio (2004) were the first to name the material deposited in the USZ herbarium as type (in the work as “ holotype ”), however, this cannot be considered a lectotypification because it was published after 2001 and the “designated here” or a similar phrase was not used ( Turland et al. 2018, Art. 7.11). As all duplicates in BOLV, LPB, and USZ are syntypes (Art. 8.1 and 9.6), we selected the material LPB0000757 About LPB as lectotype because it contains a branch with leaves, stipules and well preserved syconia .
