Remarks — The Georgian specimen molecularly analyzed in this study match the description of E. hamata , a species widely distributed in the Palaearctic. However, a high p -distance of 10.12% to the nearest sequence ( NLACA 534-15) of E. hamata from the Netherlands indicate the need for taxonomic revision of the E. hamata - complex. New for Georgia.
Habitat in Georgia — Small ponds, with dense aquatic vegetation (Fig, 2C).
