Limnesia microplatus Wen & Zhu, 2001 —new syn.

Material examined. 0/1/0, rice field, Yasothon Province, Thailand, 15° 44.688ʹ N, 104° 13.244ʹ E, 24-x-2010 ; 1/2/0, Nong Oep Oe reservoir, Ban Dua, Nong Khai Province, 17° 59ʹ 5.12ʺ N 102° 57ʹ 42.70ʺ E, 30-i-2011 .

Remarks. Wen & Zhu (2001) described Limnesia microplatus , and compared it with L. patens Viets, 1935 . However, their species is similar to L. volzi in the size, shape of genital field and palp. It matches the description given by Piersig (1906) and Lundblad (1969), and we therefore propose to synonymize L. microplatus with L. volzi . The species is known from Sumatra, Malaysia, China and reported here for the first time from Thailand.
