Material examined. 3/0, Chiang Saen Lake , Chiang Rai Province, 20° 15.701ʹ N, 100° 02.830ʹ E, alt . 360 m a.s.l., 19-xi-2001, leg H. Smit; 2/0, rice field, Yasothon Province, Thailand, 15° 44.688ʹ N, 104° 13.244ʹ E, 24-x-2010 ; 5/0, rice field, Amnat Chareon Province, 15° 41.034ʹ N, 104° 34.669ʹ E, 25-x-2010 .
Remarks. The species had been known from India, Sri Lanka and Burma. Lundblad (1969) probably reported this species under the name of O. longisetus (Berlese, 1885) from Burma and India, but it seems unlikely to us that this Palaearctic species occurs in the Oriental region. The present record is new for the fauna of Thailand.
