Current name: Ipomoea carolina L. View in CoL ( Convolvulaceae ).

Note: Often wrongly stated to be the basionym of Merremia umbellata (L.) Hallier f, the latter in fact being based on Convolvulus umbellata L. (1753) , an entirely different species.
