Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from other members of the bigeminata group by the uncus widened triangularly from distal 1/4 to a straight apex, and the valva produced distally to a beak-like process. It is similar to P. ventericoncava sp. nov. in the shape of the male genitalia, and the differences between them are stated in the diagnosis of the latter species.
Description. Adult ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1‒7 ). Wingspan 8.0 mm. Head white, occiput pale brownish yellow. Labial palpus white, second segment with basal 3/4 yellow on outer surface, third segment with distal 1/3 black. Antenna with scape white except black apically on dorsal surface; flagellum white annulated with black on dorsal surface, white and dark brown on ventral surface. Collar, thorax and tegula pale brownish yellow; thorax white posteriorly. Forewing orange yellow; three white fasciae margined with sparse blackish-brown scales: basal fascia at proximal base; antemedian fascia running from about basal 1/5 of costal margin to middle of dorsum, oblique outward, widened anteriorly; postmedian fascia from basal 3/5 of costal margin directly to dorsum before tornus, anterior half enlarged sub-quadrately, posterior half sub-triangular, with dense grey scales on outer margin; apical spot white, ovate, margined with black scales; termen with dense black scales, interrupted with white scales; cilia orange yellow, mixed with black-tipped scales. Hindwing and cilia grey.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 8‒11 ). Uncus slightly narrowed medially, suddenly widened from distal 1/4 to straight apex. Tegumen gradually narrowed anteriorly. Valva sub-rectangular, produced distally to a beak-like process pointing ventrad; costa with basal half sclerotized, distal half sparsely setose. Sacculus narrow, densely setose distally. Saccus narrow, rounded apically, slightly longer than uncus. Juxta weakly sclerotized, folded inward and forming a wide ring; anterior lobe slender. Aedeagus slightly longer than valva, slightly curved, sclerotized apically; with a small ring-like and a small spine-like apical processes; cornutus absent.
Female unknown.
Distribution. China (Hainan).
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin derectus, referring to the uncus with a straight apex.
