Genus Metaruncina Baba, 1967

Diagnosis. Shell small, plate-like, internal, posterior. Foot without posterior ventral furrow. Single gill with lamellae on right posterior side of body. Opaline gland present but not projecting outside. Jaw consists of scale-like elements, anterior elements with denticles. “Rudimentary” radula of “juvenile” type, asymmetrical, 3-4 × 0. R.1–1. R.1(?0. R.2). Gizzard with 4 plates. Spermatheca absent .
