Dasineura dielsi Rübsaamen, 1916 View in CoL

[ Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 d]

Dasyneura dielsi Rübsaamen, 1916: 478 View in CoL .

Dasineura dielsi View in CoL , redescribed in Kolesik et al. (2005: 18).

We did not study Rübsaamen’s glycerine-mounted syntypes which are presumably part of ZMHB collection, currently not accessible due to its fragility.

Associated gall. Syntypes, males and females, were bred from tubular flower galls on Acacia cyclops [ Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 d], collected by Dr Diels and E. Pritzel near Karocketta , Western Australia, in January 1891 . In addition to the type material, Rübsaamen received galls collected by Otto Kuntze in Victoria in April 1904 and diagnosed them as D. dielsi on A. cyclops . Types are presumably in ZMHB as part of Rübsaamen’s glycerine-mounted collection which is not accessible due to its high fragility (M. Kotrba, pers. comm., 1998). Kolesik et al. (2005) reared and redescribed this species, sequenced the mitochondrial cytochrome B gene fragment, and determined the host range to include A. cyclops , A. papyrocarpa , A. ligulata , A. sophorae and A. oswaldii .
