Distribution: Pantropical, subtropical.
Records in Ecuador: Galápagos and Pichincha (riverbanks of río Alamo, 6 km leaving Nono and Pasochoa National Park , Quito) .
Habitat: Moist zone. Moss hanging from shrubs and tree branches. Soil from a small clearing of the shrubby secondary forest.
