Distribution: Neartic, Neotropical.
Records in Ecuador: Galápagos (Islas: Santa Cruz, San Cristóbal ), Napo (45 km N from Puyo , CIPCA ( Centro de Investigación , Posgrado y Conservación de la Amazonía )) .
Habitat: Isla Santa Cruz: above Bella Vista, cultivated area; moist, well-decayed leaf litter under Persea americana and Psidium guajava ; near Los Gemelos, Scalesia forest ; moist moss from dead Scalesia trunk; below Media Luna, Miconia zone ; moist pads of moss from branch of M. robinsoniana ; near Puntudo, fern-sedge zone, moist fern litter. Isla San Cristóbal: littoral zone S of Wreck Bay, under Conocarpus erecta and Laguncularia racemosa ; moist and salty mangrove leaf litter. Litoral, transition and moist zone. Agricultural ecosystem: corn and Papa china ( Colocasia esculenta ) cultivation.
