Distribution: Neotropical.

Records in Ecuador: Galápagos (Islas: Santa Cruz, Genovesa, Fernandina).

Habitat: Isla Santa Cruz: littoral zone in Bahia Academy; Puerto Ayora, under Rhizophora mangle , in moist, decayed mangrove leaf litter. Isla Genovesa: littoral zone around Lake Arcturus, under Rhizophora mangle , in moist, well-decayed leaf litter and black humus. Isla Fernandina, Punta Espinosa, littoral zone, under Rhizophora mangle and Laguncularia racemosa , in moist and partially-decayed mangrove leaf litter.
