Distribution: Pantropical

Records in Ecuador: Galápagos (Islas: Santa Cruz, San Cristóbal, Floreana, Santiago, Pinta, Isabela, Fernandina) and Tungurahua (on the trail to Tungurahua volcano, ca. 2.5 km S from Baños de Agua Santa city), Napo (45 km N from Puyo, CIPCA ( Centro de Investigación , Posgrado y Conservación de la Amazonía )) and Pastaza (Puyo).

Habitat: Isla Santa Cruz: transition zone and cultivated areas around Bella Vista and Santa Rosa, Scalesia , Miconia and fern-sedge zone. Isla San Cristóbal: Miconia zone around lake El Junco and cultivated areas near El Progreso. Isla Floreana: moist highland and cultivated areas between Cerro Pajas and Asilo de la Paz. Isla Santiago: dry forest on W side and moist highland at Los Aguacates, in forest. Isla Pinta: humid zone, in forest of Zanthoxylum fagara . Isla Isabela, Volcán Alcedo: upper arid zone; moist highland, on crater rim and inside the crater in humid ( Psychotria ) zone, fern-sedge and elfin forest (frequent), Volcán Sierra Negra: SE slope from the arid zone near Puerto Villamil and on pastures. Volcán Cerro Azul: Pampa. Isla Fernandina: W slope, in dry and humid zones and in fernsedge zone. Arid, transition and moist zone. Ruderal community, leaf litter under a bamboo and other trees. Ruderal community in agricultural ecosystem, leaf litter. Urban ecosystem, green belt near Megaldaz shop.
