Distribution: Pantropical.

Records in Ecuador: Galápagos.

Habitat: Isla Santa Cruz: cultivated areas, Scalesia (frequent), Miconia and fern-sedge zone (frequent) on SE slope. Isla San Cristóbal: Miconia and fern-sedge zone around lake El Junco and cultivated areas near El Progreso. Isla Isabela, Volcán Wolf: highland in upper dry and humid zones, Volcán Alcedo, moist highland, on crater rim and inside the crater, humid (Psvchotria) zone, fern-sedge and elfin forest and Volcán Sierra Negra: pastures. Transition and moist zone.
