14. Myrmecia Tasmaniensis HNS . B.M.
Worker. Length 6 lines.-Black: the mandibles, antennae, legs, and second node of the petiole, ferruginous. The head longitudinally rugose, not striated; the prothorax rugose, the rugosity running in a transverse curved direction; the meso- and metathorax transversely rugose; the first node of the peduncle subglobose and coarsely rugose, the second node smooth and shining, with a few scattered punctures; the abdomen smooth and shining, the apical margins of the first and second segments and the whole of the other segments ferruginous.
