This species is distinguished from those of Series Matvienkoae in that it has a finely meshed reticulum only in a distal half of the scale and its proximal area of the scale has a large subcircular pore. This species is widely distributed across the world, capable of tolerating a wide range of environmental conditions. Several isolated scales were found.
