First faunistic record for Croatia: this study

Distribution in Croatia: Only in the eastern part of Pannonian Croatia. Specimens from Dalmatia are atypical, probably hybrids with C. dorsatus , similar to those observed by Chobanov & Mihajlova (2010).

Distribution in Europe: From Eastern Austria, Czechia and Central Italy to Southern Greece and Southern Russia. Probably extinct in Slovenia ( Hochkirch et al. 2016).
