Type material. Holotype: ♂: USA: California, Inyo Co., China Lake , Naval Weapons Center , Mt Spring Canyon, 35°56.91’N 117°33.40’W, 1220 m, 23.VII–17.IX.2014, Malaise trap near creek with Salix, M.E. Irwin & G. Pratt leg. ( INHS). GoogleMaps
Diagnosis. Male of Bocchus with incomplete notauli ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–4 ); forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–4 ); propodeal declivity without longitudinal keels ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–4 ).
Description of male holotype. Fully winged ( Figs 1, 2 View FIGURES 1–4 ); length 2.4 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous with apex darkened; antenna testaceous; mesosoma black; metasoma ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–4 ) dark brown; legs testaceous-brown, except tarsi and articulations testaceous. Antenna filiform; antennomeres in following proportions: 11:5:7:7:6:6:6:6:5:6. Head ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–4 ) convex, dull, granulate, except some irregular keels and areolae on vertex, on sides and behind lateral ocelli; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete; POL = 5; OL = 3; OOL = 6; OPL = 3; TL = 5. Mesoscutum ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–4 ) shiny, punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.5 × length of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum shiny, unsculptured. Metanotum rugose. Metapectal-propodeal complex dull, reticulate rugose; propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–4 ). Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; 2r-rs&Rs vein with distal part shorter than proximal part (2:5). Genitalia with volsella much shorter than paramere ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ). Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Etymology. The new species is named after one of the two collectors, Dr. Gordon F. Pratt.
